Announcing…. Indigo FM Presents

Indigo FM is about to move into the promotion of live music with the launch of a live music promotion arm Indigo FM Presents – a venture that will see Indigo FM partner with touring musicians to host live music events and concerts.

It’s anticipated that the Indigo FM Presents brand will accompany a half dozen or so events in 2018. These events include gigs at venues who support Indigo FM as well as the occasional showcase concert at a public venue.

Indigo FM Presents first concert will feature acclaimed singer songwriter guitarist Daniel Champagne as he makes a triumphant return to Yackandandah on Saturday 2 June at Yackandandah Public Hall.

Indigo FM President Scott Landells is excited by this venture as he believes it builds on the radio stations strengths. “We have a really strong skill set within our organisation when it comes to live music promotion. We have event managers, publicists, musicians, marketers, audio techs, festival curators etc. And we have strong relationships with many venues throughout Indigo Shire so it seems a really cosy fit to head down this path.”

“We are incredibly excited to be promoting Daniel Champagne’s upcoming Yackandandah concert. These days Champagne is based in Nashville Tennessee, and securing his support to include Yackandandah on his Snap Shot National tour was surprisingly easy as Daniel has long wanted to return to Yackandandah, a town he last played in 2013 at the Folk Festival.”

Daniel’s enthusiasm is also high to do this concert. ‘It’s exciting to be coming back to Yackandandah for my first show in many years! I had the opportunity to play in the area from the good people at the Folk Festival back when i was just starting out – I fell in love with the place…such a cool town and wonderful people. I grew up in a regional area up in NSW myself so when I do get back to Australia, I like to tour through the major cities plus as many smaller towns as I can get to. Massive thanks to Indigo FM for helping us put Yackandandah on the list for 2018…I can’t wait to be back!’ Champagne said.

A yet to be announced support act will also be on the bill. Tickets are $20 pre-sale and can be booked on-line from this link
