Daniel Champagne hits North-East Victoria on Saturday May 4 as he brings his guitar showmanship and exquisite songs to Yackandandah Public Hall.
When Indigo FM caught up with Daniel earlier this week he was on a short break on his tour schedule that began on 1 March at the Cobargo Folk Festival in NSW and has taken him all over New Zealand and back in Australia playing shows in the various cities and towns of Tasmania and South Australia.
Daniel has just commenced a run of dates in Victoria and had this to say about his upcoming Yackandandah show.
‘Five weeks into the Australia / New Zealand tour and what an amazing time it’s been! Lots of new places I never thought I’d get to play in, wonderful people and happy music making! I’m excited to get back into Victoria playing some some of my favorite towns along the way. For Yackandandah, it’s always one that I look forward to in the beautiful Public Hall. Also I’m excited that we’ve added some special guests from Beechworth The Inner Vision for the show!’
The Inner Vision will play songs from their just released debut EP ‘Understand’ and had this to say about their support slot for Daniel.“Playing with Daniel Champagne will be an experience unlike any other we have had before. We are so grateful for this offer and are extremely excited to be a part of it”.
On the morning of the gig The Inner Vision will play live in our Yackandandah Studios around 9am on Scott’s show ‘Everyone Deserves Music’. Shortly after this gig, they embark on a trip to the UK as part of a Dreamfields creative youth exchange.
